You can read Clara's story here.
In Clara's own words:

"Ever since I was little, staring up at the skyscrapers of my hometown, Seattle, Washington, amazed me. I knew my passion was adding to the world around me, whether that be by making something new or by reworking something already there to serve a new generation.
Now, as a junior at WPI, I get to see my passions come to fruition around me with my coursework, projects, service, and leadership positions. I am proud to hold the involvements I do, acting as a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honors society, a member of the Chi Epsilon civil engineering honors society, and the president for WPI’s American Society of Civil Engineering."

Professor Aaron Sakulich says about Clara:
"Clara genuinely lives up to the motto of theory and practice. Clara is a very rare student who can so effortlessly translate what she learned in the classroom (specifically, surveying techniques, statistical analyses, and teamwork tools) into actual practice. Clara's team has managed to finish a project that I expected to take at least three terms in less than two. Clara is an absolutely exceptional student, and she has my complete confidence that she is going on to great things and will make WPI proud."
